John Salhus

Artist Statement

John's work depicts a struggle between the manmade and the natural; but it’s a repressed, artificial nature that seems to be overtaking the manmade. A purposefully synthetic interpretation of nature dominates the landscapes in Salhus’s most recent series, as his works offer a study in the duality of the manmade and the natural.
