  • David Welle

    BOARD CHAIR

    David is a producer, designer, and writer for corporate events. Born and raised in Park Rapids, he has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe producing shows for a variety of American theater and dance companies.

  • Aaron Spangler

    VICE CHAIR

    Aaron is a visual artist whose work has been featured in New York, Berlin, Minneapolis, North Carolina, and the Netherlands. His work has been reviewed by The New York Times, The New Yorker, Artforum, etc. Graduate of MCAD, he joined the Nemeth in 2008. His relations have been valuable in shaping the museum’s mission.

  • Josie Perhus

    TREASURER

    Josie is an accountant at Kilbourne Group in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Fargo and attended college at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Spending summers in Minnesota since her youth, Josie developed a deep appreciation for the lakes area and considers both North Dakota and Minnesota home. She is grateful for the opportunity to pair her appreciation for art and community with her accounting skillset as the board treasurer.

  • Jeremy Simonson

    BOARD MEMBER

    Jeremy is an event planner for 3M Wonewok, photographer and artist. He moved to the area in 2012 from Minneapolis and joined the NAC board in 2015. Jeremy received his theater arts degree from MSU Moorhead and masters in acting from Purdue. He is excited to be a part of the Nemeth’s development, making the region an exciting arts and cultural destination.

  • Chris Mueller

    BOARD MEMBER

    Chris is a software engineer with a part-time studio practice and love of the arts. He has led engineering teams at Google and several technology startups. After many years in the San Francisco Bay area, he now lives in Minnesota with his wife and children, and loves spending time at the family cabin in Park Rapids. He earned his BA from St. Olaf College.

  • Amy Thielen

    BOARD MEMBER

    Amy is a cook, book author, and speaker based in Park Rapids, her hometown. A graduate of Macalester College and a veteran of New York City fine dining kitchens, she now writes and speaks about home cooking and culture, with an emphasis on rural communities and foodways. Amy has hosted a number of fundraisers, member-appreciation dinners, and NAC celebrations at her home in nearby Two Inlets.
