Fabric Collaging with Blair Treuer

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Participants can look forward to learning the fabric collaging techniques of Bemidji-based textile artist, Blair Treuer, for the Nemeth Art Center’s April youth workshop. Using a combination of fabric adhesives and/or hand sewing, students will be granted a small-scale glimpse into the process of making the collaged portraits and landscapes for which Treuer is known.

DETAILS
Students ages 7-18 are welcome to participate in this class free of charge, though sign-up via Eventbrite is required. The cost of the class and materials are covered by our generous business sponsors, grants from the Region 2 Arts Council, 3M, and the Mary Pohlad Foundation.

The class will take place at the Armory Art & Events Center in Park Rapids, in Studio 1. Attendance is limited to 20 participants, and we will keep a 5 person waitlist if necessary. Contact Tessa at director@nemethartcenter.org if tickets are sold out, and you'd like to be added to the waitlist.
